Hello and welcome to Gorillaz Sightings’ Monthly Fan Art Contest! What is it might you ask? Well it goes like this: Every month, a new Gorillaz-related topic is posted on this page for everyone to draw. Once a certain period of time has passed, and all of our entries are in, we put a poll online and have our visitors vote on who they think should be the winner of the month.   So, would you like to enter our contest? If so, there area few rules you must follow…and here they are:  RULES:  An artist may submit only one entry per contest. No others will be accepted after the first is submitted. (Multi-pages entries like comics are acceptable, however.) NO STEALING ART! If we find that you are taking credit for other peoples’ work, we will disqualify you from ALL of our monthly contests here at Gorillaz Sightings. Sorry, folks, stealing isn’t very nice….and so it must be dealt with accordingly. There are no rules for age. You can be 2 or 102 and you will still be able to enter. There are also no rules for artistic experience. Everyone has a fair shot at winning the contest, so it doesn’t matter if you’re a newbie or a professional! There are no limits on the media you use to create your submissions with. You can use crayons, markers, colored pencils, paint, the computer…anything you think would look best for your submission! Heck, it doesn’t even have to be colored if you don’t feel like coloring it! Just as long as it goes along with the topic, any media is fine. No snail mail submissions! Only entries that are in your computers and can be sent to me via e-mail will be accepted. Please keep your pictures clean! Since Gorillaz Sightings is a site for all ages, please try not to submit an entry that might not be appropriate for all ages to view. During the voting process, we ask that all of our visitors vote only once on the poll. That way it will be fair to everyone who is competing. If you win the contest, you MUST have a new topic picked out and sent to me in a week. If I do not hear from you, then we have to go to the next runner up to pick it. Last and most importantly: HAVE FUN! So I’ve told you the rules…now let’s move on to winning this contest, shall we? WINNING:  A poll will be posted after the due date for all of the entries has been reached. On this poll, our visitors are asked to vote for their favorite entry. After a week of voting, the person with the most votes wins the contest The winner will be notified by me and will be given further instructions about choosing the next topic. WHAT YOU’LL WIN:  Your entry will be posted on the home page of Gorillaz Sightings until the next month’s winner is chosen. When it is removed from the home page, your entry will be moved to the “Contest Winners” section where it will stay forever. You will be able to pick the next topic for the contest. So it isn’t the biggest or best prize for a contest...but hey! It’s something! PICKING A NEW TOPIC: So, you won the contest…and now you have to pick a topic. What kind of a topic does Gorillaz Sightings want? The answer: Something Gorillaz-related. It can be anything…anything your little hearts desire…just as long as people can fit Gorillaz in it somewhere. (some past examples were movie themes…swimsuits…valentines…you get my drift?)  Be creative! I’m sure you’ll come up with something good! Have you had enough of my rambling yet? Ok then…onto this month’s topic...  THIS MONTH’S TOPIC: GORILLAZ SUPERHEROES Suzukime, the winner of our last contest, requested that this month's topic should be Gorillaz Superheroes! In this event, we are asking you to draw Gorillaz as Superheroes (they could be real or made up...it doesn't matter!)! So, do you think you have what it takes to be this month's winner? Read on to find out when your entry has to be in by! Good Luck!
